History and background
of the foundation

We need trees to live! We cannot survive without them! Trees act as natural carbon absorbers,
removing pollutants from the air. They purify the air we breathe, filter our drinking water,
prevent soil erosion and flooding, support diverse wildlife, harbour intricate ecosystems and
provide medicinal resources.

We are always looking for new projects and collaborations. Our goal is to
expand our impact by partnering with private landowners, public institutions,
and community groups to identify and develop new tree planting initiatives.
Whether it's transforming urban spaces, restoring rural landscapes,
or creating green corridors, we are eager to work with those who share our

This unique initiative fosters intergenerational bonding while making a positive
environmental impact. Spend quality time with your grandchild as you plant
and care for a tree, creating cherished memories and a legacy of sustainability.
Each tree planted contributes to a healthier planet, helping to combat
pollution and climate change.

DernFord Reservoir
Tree Planting Event

This event added 2500 trees to the local
landscape, strengthening community
ties and fostering environmental
responsibility. Volunteers could tag their
trees to revisit and see their growth.
The collaboration between Russell
Smith Farms, Yellow Brick Capital, and
the community highlights the power of
collective action for a sustainable future.

“We were thrilled with the turnout and success of the tree planting event, organized in collaboration
with Yellow Brick Capital to fulfill a planning condition for the reservoir from Cambridgeshire County
Council. It was wonderful to see the community come together to plant trees and give back to our
planet. Volunteers could tag their trees with their names, allowing them to watch their trees grow over
the years. We appreciate everyone who came out and look forward to seeing these trees thrive.”
